Telecoms firm BT is recruiting 900 people to work in its cyber security business over the next few months as part of a drive to tackle the growing threat from hacking.
BT already employs more than 2,500 as security professionals and has security operations centres around the world.
It offers services ranging from anti-virus and parental controls for consumers to more complex solutions required by multinational companies, banks and governments.
The recruitment of 900 staff – including cybersecurity personnel and support staff – will take place over the next 12 months and include 170 graduate and apprentice roles.
