Cyber threats continue to dominate the business world and Fortune 500 companies are no exception. According to 2015 Fortune 500 CEO survey, 66% of respondents believe cyber security is one of the greatest threats for their business.
Considering the increase in value of corporate data, such a response rate shouldn’t come as a surprise. More and more sensitive data migrates to the cloud and gets accessed remotely, which directly increases the possible damage a cyber breach can inflict. In relation to this, IBM’s 2015 Cost of Data Breach study shows that the average consolidated total cost of a data breach is $3.8 million, which represents a 23% increase since 2013.
