Much has been said about the divide that exists between the boardroom and IT teams in businesses. Traditionally there’s been little doubt that the top table have kept IT discussions at arm’s length – particularly when it comes to cyber security, which has been viewed as highly complex and best left to the experts.
This perspective was supported by a recent global survey carried out by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) which showed that on a global level there is a systematic disconnect and misalignment between corporate teams and IT leadership teams on cyber security investment and priorities.
Delving deeper into the results however revealed an outlier, that in fact these two groups are far more aligned on this subject in UK businesses than the global average.
