Ministry Signs Pact With China On Cyber Security

The Telecommunications and Postal Services Ministry said a new agreement with China will improve cyber security. 

Minister Siyabonga Cwele and Chinese Minister Miao Wei signed an Information and Communications Technology agreement on Monday.

 This comes after President Jacob Zuma signed a five to 10 year strategic agreement with China in December.

 Cwele said China is leading the way in the technology sphere.

 He said the new agreement will see a transfer of skills and includes better ways to improve cyber security in South Africa.
