Most iPhone owners have hopefully learned to manage app permissions by now, including allowing location access. But there’s another layer of location tracking that operates outside these controls. Your cellular carrier has been collecting your location data all along, and until now, there was nothing you could do about it.
Apple just changed this in iOS 26.3 with a new setting called “limit precise location.”

- Adapting Zero Trust Principles to Operational Technology
April 29, 2026
Zero trust (ZT) offers a modern, adaptive approach to cybersecurity by eliminating implicit trust and continuously validating access based on identity, context, and risk. ZT principles assume a breach has already occurred and are designed to limit threat actor movement and potential damage. For operational technology (OT), applying ZT requires careful consideration because OT systems interact ...
- NIST changes enrichment process for National Vulnerability Database due to surge in CVE submissions
April 20, 2026
The number of reported vulnerabilities has surged so sharply that it forced the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to change how it ‘enriches’ each entry. Until now, NIST would take a basic CVE record and add structured analysis, to make it more useful in the National Vulnerability Database (NVD). That usually includes severity scoring ...
- Watch how job interviewer exposes North Korean fake IT worker
April 6, 2026
For the last few years, North Koreans have gotten remote jobs at hundreds of Western companies pretending to be from somewhere else, using fake resumes, and sometimes with the help of American collaborators. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) are jointly issuing this public service announcement (PSA) to warn the public about ongoing phishing campaigns by cyber actors associated with the Russian Intelligence Services (RIS) targeting commercial messaging applications (CMAs). RIS actors have compromised individual CMA accounts, but not CMAs’ encryption ...
- Over 29 million secrets were leaked on GitHub in 2025, and AI really isn’t helping
March 18, 2026
Vibe-coding may seem great for quickly shipping products, but inexperienced developers are leaving gaping cybersecurity holes that are causing breaches and exposures left and right. This is according to GitGuardian’s latest report, the “State of Secrets Sprawl” paper that was just released. In the research document, the organization said 2025 was the year when AI adoption ...
- AI-generated passwords are a security risk
February 19, 2026
Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate your passwords is a bad idea. It’s likely to give that password to a criminal who can then use it in a dictionary attack—which is when an attacker runs through a prepared list of likely passwords (words, phrases, patterns) with automated tools until one of them works, instead of ...
