Huge global internet outage impacts Amazon, Fortnite and Snapchat


Amazon said its cloud computing services unit AWS is showing “significant signs of recovery” after being hit by an outage which disrupted several popular websites and apps across the world including Snapchat, Facebook and Fortnite.

A rapidly growing list of sites are experiencing issues, according to Downdetector, which tracks internet disruptions. Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase and AI firm Perplexity also reported disruptions.
