But as AI enters clinical workflows, a more urgent question emerges: Who, or what, controls access to sensitive data once AI is in the loop? Ambient AI doesn’t simply process information. It captures it continuously, synthesizes it, and redistributes it across systems. In healthcare, that means interacting at scale with protected health information (PHI), billing data, and clinical decision support systems.
