Milipol Paris 2019, the international event for homeland security and safety, will take place from 19 to 22 November 2019, at the Paris-Nord Villepinte exhibition centre. More than 1,000 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors are expected at stands, workshops, demos and the new Innovation and Research stage.
For its 21st edition, the opening conference will feature two renowned experts in the fight against terrorism, Ali Soufan and Kumar Ramakrishna.
The opening conference on “The Internal/External Security Continuum” will be held at 2 pm on 19 November. Two international experts on the subject will give an overview of the current situation and provide their insights on this key theme and the major issues in the current climate.
Ali Soufan is Managing Director of the Soufan Group, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to research, analysis and strategic dialogue related to international security issues and emerging threats. A former FBI agent, Soufan has investigated and overseen extremely delicate and complex cases of international terrorism, including the US embassy bombings in East Africa, the USS Cole bombing and the events of 9/11.
Kumar Ramakrishna is a tenured associate professor, Head of Policy Study, and Head of the National Security Studies Programme, in the Office of the Executive Deputy Chairman, at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) in Singapore. He current research is focused on British propaganda in the Malayan Emergency, propaganda theory and practice, the history of strategic thought, and counter-terrorism with a focus on radicalization.
