Targi Kielce’s 29th International Defence Industry Exhibition promises to be one of the most important exhibitions in Poland. As of today, almost 250 companies from Poland and abroad have registered for the event, occupying nearly 20,000 sq. m of exhibition space.
Following its annual tradition, the Kielce defence industry trade show brings together the most important military actors in the military sector – they all come to Kielce to present their latest achievements. For years, MSPO has also been the place to establish important relations in order to enhance global defence, safety and security. The expo meetings often culminate in the signing of multi-million dollar contracts.
Apart from the Polish Armaments Group, which has been a Strategic Partner of MSPO for many years, the exhibitors’ list includes companies from the United Kingdom, Germany, Norway, Italy and Ukraine.
American defence companies will also present their offerings at this year’s MSPO: Lockheed Martin will showcase a 1:1 mock-up of their F-35 Lightning II combat aircraft. Targi Kielce has already hosted this impressive machine at the 27th MSPO in 2019, much to the astonishment and delight of the MSPO visitors, including the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda. It is worth noting that in 2020, Poland purchased these planes from the United States as part of the Harpia programme.
The M1A2 Abrams tank will also be an attraction to visitors at this year’s trade show. This reliable and robust combat vehicle has already proven itself in armed conflict zones, from the front-lines of the Middle East to the distant corners of Asia. The third generation tank that will be showcased at MSPO is still considered one of the best, if not the best in the world. Therefore, the Polish army is considering a purchase of 250 of these Abrams tanks, with the highest SEPv3 configuration. The Ministry of National Defence has earmarked approximately PLN 23 billion for this purpose.
The 29th International Defence Industry Exhibition will be held in Targi Kielce from the 7th to the 10th of September 2021.
